Ski boots are stated in Mondopoint. This is a common industry standard and shows the boot's inside length in mm.
To find the right size, all you have to do is measure the length of your foot. A tip might be to moisten the foot and put the footprint on a piece of paper.
It is very important that you do not choose a longer boot than you need. If your foot measures 275mm, you should buy Mondopoint 275. If you buy a larger size than that, your foot will slip inside the boot - and the muscles in the foot will work to keep the foot calm which causes sore feet!
For children, you can buy the boot one cm larger than the child's foot.
